About

I grew up in a working-class home in Germany and have always wanted to build things that work in the real world, from childhood projects to the systems I ship today. Mechanical engineering was the natural first step.

As AI became central to how products are built and experienced, I moved into robotics and intelligent systems for my master's at TUM, supported by BMW's Scholarship program. As every system adds complexity, I found myself building more and more UI/UX to support understanding and control. I became a product-minded visionary, bringing designers, engineers, and stakeholders together around a concrete direction.

Today I work where design meets implementation: embedded and in-car contexts, design-system-aligned tooling in Figma, and AI-assisted workflows.I lead a small engineering team building prototyping platforms and internal tools for UX and UI designers.

How I work

I'm not just a designer, not just a software engineer, and not a pure coordinator. I use design, code, and facilitation every week, but none of those labels alone captures what I actually do.

I work more like a product-minded visionary: I dig into the problem, the target users, and what success should look like; I bring designers, engineers, and stakeholders together around a concrete direction; and I stay close enough to the work that the vision turns into shipped outcomes, not handoffs or endless alignment for its own sake. The direction is one I drive clearly, then refine with the team as we learn.

Concept engineering · cross-functional with design & engineering

Interior mockup prototyping

Drag-and-drop pipeline from heterogeneous sources (Figma, ProtoPie, Svelte) to interior vehicle mockups. Sharp reduction in downtime; framework size cut by ~95%. Stack: Deno, Svelte.

AI text translation in Figma

Series-production copy in Figma, pixel-based length checks, human-in-the-loop translation, push to app repositories. Internal evaluation: >80% error-free vs. prior process; ~€250k p.a. cost impact; lead time from ~5 weeks to minutes. Stack: Python, Docker, Azure.

Automated UI review

Explored automation to validate Figma designs against UI library components: compared a visual / neural-network approach with an LLM-based approach using Figma API node data.

Design–code IDE prototype

Exploring how to close the design-to-code gap by prototyping a new IDE that keeps code, visual design, and specification files in sync (paired .code, .des, and.logic layers in one workspace).

SMABAX
2020 to 2023
Co-founder & CEO · Smarket Solutions GmbH

B2B2C loyalty product: mobile app with QR at checkout, gamified discounts for shoppers, and real-time analytics for retailers. Venture discontinued after insufficient product-market fit; strong lessons in retail partnerships, go-to-market, and execution under constraint.

Combined Powers VTE
B.Eng. thesis
B.Eng. · FH Bielefeld · LEMKEN GmbH · Pre-development

Practical semester and bachelor thesis: conceptual design and implementation of a UI for a Linux-based embedded system — radio remote control of LEMKEN's highly automated VTE field robot in an agricultural environment.

Spyra
2022
Working student · Mechanical Engineer · Spyra GmbH, Munich

Development of new outdoor products — high-tech water blasters — from concept through CAD and rapid prototyping to Arduino-based embedded prototypes.

Indoor scan completeness
M.Sc. thesis
M.Sc. · Technical University of Munich · UAV mapping

Automated detection of missing 3D scan coverage from drone flight data: voxel-based ray casting to separate navigable air from occluded gaps, then greedy viewpoint planning for rescan missions.

Water-powered rocket
High school
First hands-on build · parachute recovery system

My very first rocket project in high school: a pressure-fed water rocket with a mechanical parachute deployment system for safe recovery after launch — early practice in designing, building, and testing something that actually had to come back in one piece.
